I loved reading Touch of the Mage, the first book in the Twyst Academy series. While academy / university settings usually bore me pretty quickly thanks to the teen angst, in this book the characters are in their early 20s, and I was quickly drawn into the story. Arcane Blast has a 10% chance to apply Touch of the Magi, accumulating 20% of the damage you deal to the target for 6 sec, and then exploding for that amount of Arcane damage to the target and all nearby enemies. Touch of the Magi is an Arcane mage artifact trait. It is linked to the [Everywhere at Once] trait. Touch of the Mage, by author D.D.
